When trailblazing into new ideas or projects, you sometimes can’t think of solutions to certain problems that arise.  Thankfully, we have the internet to help get our momentum back if we ever get stumped.  Over the years, I’ve come across many sites that have helped me in one way or another, whether it be information, supplies, or just for laughs.  I’ll hopefully continuously update this list, in hopes that my findings are of use to others.

Information

--------------

--------------

Wikipedia.org

Excellent enciclopedia of information. Don't underestimate looking up electronic topics.

Google.com I don't know how you got here if you haven't heard of this site. You would be amazed at how many things can be found by a search engine.
PHP.net Great knowledgebase of php information.
Web-Source.net Lots of information of how to do certain HTML, JS, or CSS tasks.
Dahlquist Igniter These guys have done a lot of research on using a 4cent resistor as a pyrotechnic ignitor. I found this very interesting.

Shopping

--------------

--------------

Mouser Online warehouse of electronic components. Great for any size order.

Digikey

Another online warehouse of components.

Electronix Express These guys don't have near the quantity as mouser/digikey, but they have some neat component kits with multiple values of a certain component.
OnlineMetals Nice selection of multiple different types of metals and plastics.
All-Battery.com Very good hobbiest battery store. They have everything from single rechargeables, to huge 60v battery packs.
McMaster-Carr If it's an item you can touch, these guys probably have it, from screws to 100lb raw materials. They're like the ultimate hardware store online.

Software

--------------

--------------

ExpressSCH A freeware schematic drawing and circuit board planning set. Very simple to use, and it has a decent component list.
EagleCAD Another freeware schematic and circuit board program. This program has more of an AutoCAD feel, and has a much larger component selection than ExpressSCH, though is a little more difficult to use.

Misc.

--------------

--------------

ING Direct Online banking. I've been using them for years.

OrangeMite Studios

A side project that I'm helping a few friends with. Check out the website to see what it's about.
